Embassy Assists Families

Ten people from Tamil Nadu, three from Andhra Pradesh, and two from Kerala were among the victims, according to the Indian Embassy in Vietnam, which also confirmed the deaths. In order to fulfill the legal requirements and arrange for the return of the mortal remains, embassy staff are collaborating with Vietnamese authorities. But authorities are investigating whether all safety procedures were followed before and during the trip.

The Importance of Improving Traveler Safety Procedures

The tragedy has once again brought to the fore the need for strict safety regulations for water tourism. Experts say regular safety checks, keeping a close watch on the weather and ensuring passengers are wearing life jackets can help reduce the risk of such tragedies. As families mourn for their loved ones, authorities hope the findings may help to prevent similar catastrophes in the future.
