Holy Ritual Marks Countdown to Amarnath Yatra: LG Manoj Sinha Performs 'Pratham Puja'

With the 'Pratham Puja' now completed, the Amarnath Yatra is set to begin on July 3 Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha performed the special prayer on Monday, June 29, before the official start of the yatra on July 3.

The 'Pratham Puja' is held every year before devotees begin their journey to the holy cave. During the prayer, wishes are made for a safe, peaceful, and successful yatra. Senior officials, priests, and members of the Shri Amarnath ji Shrine Board were also present during the ceremony.

Strong Security and Better Facilities for Devotees

The government has made many arrangements for the pilgrims. Security has been increased, and medical teams, rescue teams, and other facilities have been placed along the Pahalgam and Baltal routes. Pilgrims have also been asked to follow safety rules and weather updates during the journey.

This year, the administration has made special arrangements for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage. Security has been strengthened with the deployment of police, paramilitary forces, and disaster response teams. Medical camps, ambulance services, food facilities, and accommodation have also been arranged for the convenience of pilgrims.
