Ranchi Girl Avni Kejriwal Becomes CBSE Commerce Topper Post-Answer Sheet Re-Evaluation

Answer-sheet re-evaluation raises marks of a class 12 commerce student, highlighting the need for answer-sheet review.

Ranchi, June 23: Ranchi girl Avni Kejriwal has made a national headline after a fantastic turnaround in the CBSE class 12 examination results post-re-evaluation process by scoring a perfect 500 out of 500. With the new results, Avni is the state topper and one of the highest scorers in the country in the Commerce stream. 

Avni, a student of Delhi Public School (DPS) SAIL Township, Dhurwa, had scored 95.2 per cent marks when the CBSE Class 12 results were declared in May. She was happy with the end result but felt that her answer papers could be further scrutinised and decided to apply for a re-evaluation of her answer papers. 

It proved to be a decision that changed my life. Her marks were re-evaluated and increased by 24 points, giving her a perfect 500 out of 500. She scored 99 marks in her additional subject, Graphics, and got full marks in five subjects, including English Core, accountancy, business studies, economics and applied mathematics. 

“I am confident about my preparation, and I feel my answers deserve to be checked again,” said Avni of her success. She credits her success to hard work, her consistent study routines, and the support of her parents, teachers and mentor. 

Avni now plans to pursue higher education in business management and has already appeared for the CUET-UG 2026 examination. Her success story has inspired students all over the country and highlighted the significance of the CBSE re-evaluation process in ensuring fair and accurate assessment.
