Delhi University Opens SOL, DDCE and COL Admissions for 2026-27: Courses, Eligibility and How to Apply

Delhi University has announced the opening of its doors for the academic session 2026-27 for the School of Open Learning (SOL), the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE) and the Campus of Open Learning (COL).

What’s New This Year?

• A “WhatsApp” update: Perhaps the most practical change is that you will now get your important updates, including those all-important one-time passwords (OTPs), directly via WhatsApp on your registered mobile number. It's a small change, but it should make it a lot less of a headache to keep tabs on your application status.

• New Courses: If you’ve been waiting for more choices, the SOL is adding two new programmes to its roster this year: an MBA in Healthcare and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science.

A Note About Deadlines

Some sources have mentioned that today might be a deadline for different applications, but university deadlines sometimes can be altered or lengthened. If you are applying under any particular category (like SC, ST or OBC), make sure that you have your certificates ready and valid; these are non-negotiable for getting the right fee concessions.

• No Entrance Stress: You don’t have to worry for the entrance exams for most of the undergraduate courses here. Admission is mostly on a merit basis.
