The Lohagad Fort investigation has presented a chilling picture, giving a heartbreaking insight into the plans that were afoot just days before Ketan Agarwal lost his life.

Unbeknownst to the family, even as they were planning a huge, grand birthday celebration for his fiancée, Siya Goyal, at a luxury resort in Mahabaleshwar, just before the day, it was to be a joyous family milestone. The big occasion was to bring the two sides together in celebration as they joyfully counted down the months to the couple’s winter wedding, planned for November.
 
Grand Celebration Cancelled at the Last Minute

Ketan’s dad, businessman Vishal Agarwal, had gone all out for the occasion, booking around 70 rooms at a five-star hotel to celebrate Siya’s birthday. It was to be a major celebratory prelude to the upcoming wedding and was expected to attract extended family, close relatives, and friends.

But that big family reunion did not happen. The entire itinerary was scrapped at the very last minute.

A Deadly Detour to the Fort

Police investigators said Siya allegedly persuaded Ketan not to attend the big family get-together at all. But she talked him out of it, and they rode together alone to Lohagad Fort near Pune and missed the party.

What Ketan saw as a casual, intimate excursion soon became the grim focus of a major murder investigation following his untimely death.

When the news broke initially, the general opinion was that Ketan had met a tragic end while exploring the historic fort when he slipped and fell to his death into a deep gorge.
