Airline Crew Member Alleges Rape by Cab Driver Near Hyderabad Airport, Accused Arrested

The cab was allegedly diverted prior to the assault
She had taken a cab arranged by her airline to get to the airport early Tuesday morning, police said. 

The driver allegedly took the car to a remote area near the airport during the trip. The woman told police the assault happened inside the cab.

The victim fled and sought help immediately 
Police said the woman was able to exit the vehicle following the incident. She approached a worker near the airport premises for helpthe assault.s taken to airport police.

Arrested suspect, investigation ongoing  
The accused has been identified as 23-year-old Errapogu Prashanth Kumar. He was arrested Wednesday and taken to court, where a judge ordered him held in custody.

The incident has re-ignited safety concerns for airline staff and passengers using company-provided transport to and from the airport.
