Dubai Launches ‘Bread for All’ to Provide Free Fresh Bread 24/7 to Those in Need

The programme aims to support vulnerable residents with dignity and to make the everyday act of giving a part of city life.

The initiative has resulted in the installation of specially designed smart bread vending machines in selected locations across Dubai. 

The machines dispense free bread to those who need it, 24 hours a day. The concept is simple: provide basic food whenever, with no paperwork and no questions.

Officials say the focus is on helping people in financial hardship while protecting their privacy and dignity.

The machines don't just dispense. They are also a donation point for visitors and residents to donate fresh bread for others.

“Bread for All” promotes a culture of shared responsibility through distribution and donation. All contributions go toward keeping the machines stocked. 

In a Combined Social Service Campaign
The campaign is a joint initiative of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives and the Mohammed bin Rashid Global Centre for Endowment Consultancy.

The organisations say the goal is to improve food security within the city and develop stronger community giving habits through technology.

5 Machines To Start, With More On The Way
Dubai has launched five smart bread machines to get the ball rolling. If the public continues to support the program, it will expand to more areas.

Already, the project has received wide praise for combining innovation with social service – a practical step in the campaign to cut hunger in the city.
