The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday called for immediate legal action in connection with the alleged irregularities in offerings made at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, urging authorities to ensure a speedy investigation and trial.
An FIR should be filed, the investigation should be expedited, the matter should be taken up by a fast-track court on a day-to-day basis, and the guilty persons should suffer their punishment," the VHP said in a post on X, quoting Alok Kumar.
The VHP's statement comes amid growing attention on the case, with the organisation pressing for a swift judicial process and accountability for those responsible.
Legal action

Advocate Mohit Ashok filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on June 12 after earlier sending representations on June 8 to the Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary (Vigilance), the Ram Temple Trust, the CBI and other authorities, as per news agency ANI.

The investigation is still underway, and authorities are expected to review the findings before taking further action. The VHP has stressed that those responsible, if found guilty, should face strict punishment. Many people are now waiting for the outcome of the probe.
