WHO Warns Most New Ebola Cases In Congo Linked To Unknown Transmission Chains

WHO Issues Call for Urgent Action
The WHO is calling for urgent action to stay ahead of the outbreak. Priorities are beefed-up disease surveillance, faster testing, expanded vaccination campaigns, and more international support.
The best way to reduce deaths and stop the spread in the community is early detection and prompt treatment, experts say.
The agency says containing the outbreak will be contingent on quickly identifying the undetected cases before they start new chains of infection.
