'Students Aren't Political Tools': Dharmendra Pradhan Fires Back at Rahul Gandhi Over CJP Protest

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has strongly responded to the ongoing protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), accusing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of exploiting students for political gain. Breaking his silence after days of escalating demonstrations, Pradhan alleged that the Opposition was attempting to turn a student movement into a political campaign instead of seeking constructive solutions.

Pradhan's Sharp Response

Addressing the media, Pradhan said Rahul Gandhi was "using students as political tools" to target the central government. He argued that students should not be dragged into political battles and claimed that the protests were being fuelled more by political interests than genuine concern for education.

The Union Minister maintained that the government remains committed to addressing students' concerns through dialogue and reforms rather than confrontation.

Opposition Continues to Press for Resignation

Pradhan's remarks came amid mounting pressure from the Congress and CJP, which have intensified their protests over the handling of recent student demonstrations. Opposition leaders have demanded the Education Minister's resignation, alleging that the government failed to adequately respond to students' grievances and allowed excessive police action against protesters.

Senior Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, have participated in demonstrations, accusing the Centre of suppressing democratic voices and ignoring the concerns of young people.

Government Defends Its Stand

Rejecting the Opposition's criticism, Pradhan said the Centre has consistently worked to strengthen India's education system and remains open to discussions with students and academic stakeholders. He accused the Congress of trying to gain political mileage from a sensitive issue instead of contributing to meaningful solutions.

The BJP has echoed Pradhan's remarks, alleging that the Opposition is attempting to mislead students and create unnecessary unrest. Party leaders insisted that the government's priority is to ensure educational reforms while maintaining law and order.

Political Tensions Escalate

The exchange has further intensified the political battle between the ruling BJP and the Opposition. While protestors continue to demand accountability and policy changes, the Centre has accused rival parties of politicising the movement.
