Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rashid Khan Pay Heartfelt Tribute To Shapoor Zadran: "Life Won't Be The Same Without You"
Former Afghanistan pacer Shapoor Zadran passed away at the age of 38, leaving the cricketing world in mourning. Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and several teammates broke down in tears while paying their final respects at his funeral. Zadran will be remembered as one of the pioneers who played a key role in Afghanistan's rise in international cricket.
The passing of former fast bowler Shapoor Zadran is being grieved by the Afghan cricket community and fans worldwide. Zadran, 38, one of Afghanistan's most significant cricket players, passed away following a battle with a rare illness. Many of his current and previous coworkers attended his funeral, and the moving events showed how much respect and admiration he had gained over his career.

The funeral's video, which has already gone popular on social media, included Rashid Khan and Gurbaz carrying Zadran's coffin while crying. The heartfelt tribute highlighted the close-knit Afghan cricket community and the enormous loss caused by the former pacer's passing.
Rashid Khan also took to social media to pay tribute to his former teammate, saying: “Life won’t be the same without you. His emotional speech elicited responses from fans and other cricket players, many of them reminiscing on Zadran’s achievements both on and off the pitch. Zadran was congratulated by Afghanistan Cricket Board, former India head coach Ravi Shastri, Mohammad Nabi and a host of international players for his dedication towards the game and his contribution to the growth of Afghan cricket.
Shapoor Zadran was one of the pioneers in Afghanistan’s rise to prominence in international cricket. The left-arm bowler made his debut in 2009 and played 80 ODI and T20I international matches for the country and took 70 wickets. He was part of the team which helped Afghanistan qualify for the major ICC tournaments. He will not be forgotten for his contribution to the team’s historic win over Scotland at 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup and he scored the winning runs for Afghanistan’s first ever win in World Cup.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board paid tribute to Zadran’s legacy, describing him as a “true servant of the Afghan game whose passion and determination had inspired a generation” after his death. The cricket world has lost a great man and is in mourning, but his legacy will live on through the men he inspired and milestones he helped reach, as one of the masterminds behind Afghanistan's incredible cricket journey.
