CJP Discards Allegations of Widespread Violence

Speaking to NDTV, the spokesperson said that 98% of the police personnel injured in the clashes had only minor injuries and said that the situation has been blown out of proportion to portray the protest in bad light.

Party Says No Desire To Hurt Cops

The protest was to be peaceful and the CJP has never promoted violence, said the CJP spokesman. “Any confrontation that happened was isolated and should not characterise the whole demonstration,” the spokesperson said. The party said the police tried to prevent the protesters from marching towards central Delhi and this led to clashes between protesters and security forces.
