Mahesh Bhatt Signs Five-Film Deal With VDO Tree Productions, to Lead as Creative Director

The announcement signals a new beginning for Bhatt, who has been shaping the world of Hindi cinema for over four decades.

A New Artistic Direction
Bhatt will serve as Creative Director, shepherding the overall vision for all five films and will be closely collaborating with the creative team on story development and execution. 

The films are being produced by Humayu Suleman and Humaid Humayu Rangila. Filmmaker Suhrita Das has been signed on as director and writer, while Shweta Bothra will be co-writing and also be the lyricist.

5 Films, Multiple Genres
VDO Tree Productions wants to build a diverse slate rather than just focus on one genre. The line-up includes steamy love stories, psychological thrillers, and horror dramas. 

The team says the idea is to deliver different types of emotionally driven stories that could have broad appeal.

The Word on the Collaboration
The news has already sparked industry interest. Bhatt has directed films like Aashiqui, Zakhm, Sadak, and Arth and mentored a generation of storytellers. His association with a new production house has raised hopes for what kind of cinema audiences can expect to see.

The cast and individual storylines have yet to be revealed by the makers, but they promised engaging content with strong emotions fundamentally. Further casting and production schedule updates are expected over the next few months.
