Netflix is expanding its South Indian entertainment lineup with a major slate of upcoming Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam films. The streaming platform has announced plans to bring at least one South Indian title every week for the remainder of 2026, giving regional cinema a bigger presence on the platform.
Big Releases For Dhanush’s OM
Dhanush’s OM – Chapter 1: Udhiram is one of the most anticipated titles. The Tamil action thriller is one of the upcoming South Indian titles on Netflix. The film is slated to be released in theaters on October 16, 2026, but the release date for Netflix has not yet been announced.
Ranabaali starring Vijay Deverakonda
Another big title in Netflix's slate is Ranabaali starring Vijay Deverakonda. The period action drama is set to release in theaters in September 2026, with a digital premiere to follow. The project also stars Rashmika Mandanna, adding to the excitement around the project.
Nani’s Paradise and More
Other titles coming soon in the expanded South Indian lineup on Netflix include Nani’s The Paradise, Peddi, Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, Made in Korea, Stephen and Takshakudu. The slate is emblematic of Netflix’s increasing focus on films with strong regional identities and broader national appeal.
The announcement comes as Netflix continues to increase its investment in South Indian storytelling.
