'Made in India Defence Is Stronger Than Ever': Rajnath Singh After Operation Sindoor
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said Operation Sindoor has bolstered confidence in India’s indigenous defence platforms. The operation, he said, proved that equipment designed and manufactured in India can work effectively for critical military missions.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said Operation Sindoor has bolstered confidence in India’s indigenous defence platforms. The operation, he said, proved that equipment designed and manufactured in India can work effectively for critical military missions.
The success of the operation has given confidence to the people about the defence capabilities of the country and has shown the progress India has made towards self-reliance in defence production, the defence minister said.
Focus on Self-Reliance
"The government has been trying to cut down dependence on imported military equipment by encouraging development of defence technology within the country," Rajnath Singh said. He said that now India is producing sophisticated weapons, missiles, drones, radar systems, and other military equipment through its own industries.
“Operation Sindoor is a big boost to the 'Made-in-India' defence initiative, and it has shown the strength and reliability of these indigenous systems,” he said.
Benefits to the Defence Industry of India
The rising trust in Indian-made defence equipment will help the domestic defence industry grow further, the defence minister said. He believes that the success of indigenous technology will lead to more investments, new opportunities for Indian companies and boost the country’s defence exports.
Building a Stronger Future
“The government will keep investing in modern defence technology and fortifying the armed forces,” Rajnath Singh said. He stressed the need for the country to develop sophisticated military equipment for national security and for long-term economic growth.
He expressed confidence that the Indian defence sector will keep growing and that the success of Operation Sindoor will inspire more innovation in indigenous defence production.
