Khan Sir Gets Major Legal Relief as Patna Court Defers Arrest Till July 3
Faisal Khan was named in an FIR related to a firing incident by his guards when miscreants vandalised his coaching institute in early June.
Khan Sir gets temporary relief; the court defers the decision and extends protection from arrest.
The case stems from an incident on June 2 at Khan Sir's coaching institute in Patna. According to police, a group of alleged miscreants entered the institute and created a ruckus. During the commotion, the institute's security guards allegedly fired shots, following which an FIR was registered. Khan Sir was also named in the case, prompting him to approach the court for anticipatory bail and protection from arrest.
Khan Sir had earlier been granted interim relief by the court, which was due to end on June 30. However, after hearing the matter on Tuesday, the court extended his protection from arrest till July 3. This means no coercive action can be taken against him until the next date of hearing.
Court directs authorities to submit details of guards' weapon licences.
During the hearing on Tuesday, the court sought details of the arms licenses of both security guards of Khan," said Satyam Jha, the lawyer of Khan's rival Roshan Anand.
