Kangana Ranaut on Pune Fort Murder Case: ‘Never Be Sure About Children Sanskar’
The Pune fort murder case has drawn a reaction from actor Kangana Ranaut. She said that parents should not always be blamed for the actions of their children. She added that one can never be sure about the values or upbringing of a child.
When a crime shocks us, our first impulse is to blame the parents and ask how they raised their child. However, Kangana Ranaut broke the silence on this mindset after a shocking incident near Pune, and it sparked a very real conversation on how much control parents really have.
She took to her Instagram to write to people to stop pointing fingers at the families and reminded everyone that you can never truly know how a child will turn out, no matter how well you raise them.
You can never be sure of anything.
Kangana said many parents are afraid to admit this: you can teach your kids right and wrong with all your heart, but they can still grow up to make choices that are totally against what you taught them.
She wrote, *“Never be sure about the sanskars (values) of children,”* warning the public against tarnishing the reputation of an entire family owing to the bad actions of one person.
A Catastrophic Incident
The tragedy that started this discussion is very bleak. A man identified as Ketan Agarwal died after falling down a cliff at Lohagad Fort near Pune.
At first, everyone thought it was a tragic accident. But after digging deeper, police realised something was off, and it became a murder investigation. Since then they have arrested Ketan’s fiancee Siya Goyal and another man, Chetan Chaudhary. Investigators are now reviewing phone records and forensics to find out what exactly happened.
Who is Actually to Blame?
The whole thing has divided people right down the middle and started a heated debate most families can relate to:
Freedom of choice: Kangana enjoys a lot of support When a child becomes an adult, they are responsible for their own mind, they say. "No parent should be punished or shamed for a crime they did not know about.”
The Root of Upbringing: On the other hand, people say that the moral compass you build as a kid is what keeps you on the right path, meaning a person’s upbringing always plays a part in who they become.
And while the police are unravelling the case, it leaves the average person struggling with a very uncomfortable question: how well do we really know those under our own roof?
