Jaipur Woman Accused Of Plotting Mother’s Murder Through Staged SUV Crash

A really chilling case has come to light from Jaipur, where what started out as a tragic hit-and-run case turned out to be a cold, calculated murder plotted by a 23-year-old final-year law student against her own mother.

The Jaipur Police have arrested seven people, including the daughter, Ayushi Sharma, after uncovering a ₹7 lakh contract-killing plot driven by dark family greed and deep-seated resentment.

Set at 130 km/h

The victim was Neeraj Sharma, 45, a lower-division clerk in a local court. She was going home after dropping her differently-abled teenage son at his coaching centre in the Pratap Nagar area on July 3.

Suddenly, she was blindsided by a speeding Scorpio SUV at a brutal 130 km/h. The impact was so powerful it threw her almost 100 feet in the air, and she died instantly. The driver abandoned the car and walked towards the afternoon chaos.

What was initially thought to be a routine traffic accident, Neeraj's brother suspected foul play and intervened. He told police his sister had been subjected to severe harassment and death threats from her own daughter over property. When investigators checked local CCTV footage, their suspicions were confirmed: the driver had waited for her to appear and singled her out.

A Job and a Piece of Land

"The motive is a nasty fight over money and professional security," the police said.

The government job Neeraj’s husband had passed away a year ago. Because he was a court employee, the family was able to get his job under “compassionate appointment” rules. Ayushi wanted the job for herself, but Neeraj took the post to support her young, vulnerable son. Ayushi openly blamed her mother for this, saying aggressively that she had "ruined her future".

They had also been involved in a bitter property dispute for nearly three years over some valuable family land.

Finally Ayushi left the house and joined her father’s brother Mohan Swaroop and her cousin Balram. They killed Neeraj together so that Ayushi could inherit the properties and also get the vacant government job as the surviving daughter.

One Month of Stalking.

The police said the family members hired a hitman, Hemant Sharma, for ₹7 lakh, who roped in a network of accomplices to execute the plan. For almost a month, the group watched Neeraj’s daily routine. Actually, they had earlier hired a Mahindra Thar SUV to run her over, but it was an unsuccessful attempt.

The team was working in close coordination and in real time on the day of the murder. Neeraj's live location was tracked by one associate from the coaching centre while another was loitering on a spotter motorcycle and a third drove the Scorpio that delivered the fatal blow.

While seven conspirators are in jail, Ayushi’s cousin Balram is still absconding, and police are investigating further. In a disturbing twist, investigators are now also probing the suspicious death of Ayushi’s father in 2025 after relatives alleged she may have been involved in his death too.
