Amyra's mother makes an emotional appeal
Speaking to the media with tears in her eyes recently, Amyra's mother had said how the incident had affected her family.

She called on the authorities to hold a fair and speedy trial, saying her only demand was justice for her daughter. 

We just want the truth to come out and people to be made accountable,” she said. 

Social media users posted messages of solidarity and called for the case to be prioritised by the courts, with her comments receiving widespread support.

Parents and the community have asked if schools have the proper monitoring, grievance procedures, and protocols for addressing serious complaints. There were calls for stricter safety measures, regular audits, and greater clarity on who was responsible for what within the school management.
