Jaipur Murder Case: Fresh Probe Launched Into Death of Ayushi Sharma's Father

Officials say the new inquiry was launched after new allegations emerged. Police said they have not yet determined if there is a criminal angle and the investigation is in its early stages.

Jaipur Police are now examining the records, past statements and other evidence related to the death of Ayushi Sharma’s father. 

They said the purpose was to ascertain if there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. 

The development comes even as Ayushi is in police custody for the alleged murder of her mother – a case that has already drawn widespread attention across Rajasthan.

Another unexpected twist in the case: police are now looking at whether the father's death needs to be looked at more closely, given new information. 

The police will probably want to talk to family, neighbours of yours and others who knew the family. They will also review documents and forensic files to determine if there is any further legal action to be taken.

Officials warn against speculation
No conclusions have been reached yet, officials said. A senior officer said: “We are gathering the facts and following due legal process. Police have asked the public and social media not to spread unverified information until the investigation is over.

The authorities said no further details would be released until the inquiry was at a definitive stage.
