Gurugram Man Dies in Delhi Hit-and-Run Days Before Birthday, SUV Driver Arrested

A tragic road accident on Delhi's Rajokri flyover claimed the life of 34-year-old Sarthak Mattoo, a resident of Gurugram. According to police, Sarthak was riding his motorcycle to work when a speeding SUV allegedly hit his bike from behind.

He was thrown from the motorbike in the crash and was seriously injured. Emergency services were called, but despite attempts to revive him, he died of his injuries. His family and colleagues have been greatly shocked by the suddenness of his passing.

Police Trace SUV and Arrest Alleged Driver
Delhi Police immediately launched a probe to trace the car involved in the tragedy. Officials followed the SUV and found that it was registered to a Bengaluru-based company.

The suspected driver was subsequently detained and identified as Apurv Singh. Police also took the SUV away as part of the inquiry for additional examination.

Authorities have registered an FIR and are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the fatal crash. CCTV footage and other evidence from the accident site are also being examined.

Family Left Heartbroken
The event happened just days before Sarthak’s birthday, making it much more difficult for his family. His family and friends struggle to cope with his untimely loss.
