Delhi Parking Dispute Turns Violent: Family Alleges Man Threw Flower Pot From 3rd Floor, Elderly Man Injured

The incident took place on June 3, and the family says no arrests have been made even after the submission of the FIR and CCTV footage more than 40 days later.

Family Says Attempt To Kill Over Parking
The family of the victim said the fight was over parking in their neighbourhood. 

During the course of the argument, the accused, Kunal Mahajan, threw a heavy flowerpot from the third floor, they alleged. The pot is said to have hit the old man on the head. 

The victim fell at the scene and was treated in hospital.

The family said the old man had sustained a serious head injury and needed urgent medical attention.

They have also posted CCTV footage on social media, which they say shows the lead-up to the attack. The video went viral on the internet and prompted fresh calls for police to take action.

Family Says FIR Registered But No Arrests So Far
The family said an FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including the provision relating to the attempt to commit culpable homicide.

But they say they have not been arrested despite showing the CCTV footage to the police twice. The family had questioned the delay in the investigation.
