Bengaluru Woman Alleges Flipkart Delivery Agent Used Her Washroom, Later Harassed Her Inside Apartment

The incident has provoked a furore on the internet, and authorities have now launched an investigation into the allegations.

“He came to the washroom without my permission.” In a video shared on social media, a woman said a Flipkart delivery executive visited her flat to deliver a parcel and asked if he could use her washroom. 

'She said no,' she said. She did, however, allege that the agent entered the washroom in her home without her consent.

“Things got even more disturbing after he came out,” she said. The woman said the man exposed himself, and she was shaken and scared. “Women are afraid to be judged, so they don’t say anything,” she said in the video, urging others to speak up about harassment.

Video stirs row over safety of women
The clip went viral in no time and sparked debates on safety during home deliveries. 

Many social media users expressed their concern about how such incidents can affect a person’s sense of security, especially in their own home. 

Some called for tougher background checks on delivery personnel, as well as improved safety procedures. Others said the issue should be thoroughly investigated based on facts before reaching any conclusion.

Investigation continues
The police are aware of the complaint and are looking into it. We are gathering evidence, looking at CCTV footage from the building, and will be taking statements as part of the inquiry, officials said. 

Depending on the results, authorities said, further action would be taken.

The episode has renewed concerns about the safety of women and accountability in service jobs that require workers to enter customers’ homes.
