Uddhav Thackeray-Led Shiv Sena Extends Support To Sonam Wangchuk's Protest At Jantar Mantar

The Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray party of Shiv Sena on Monday expressed its support for the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi by environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk against the Centre, demanding that the government talk to the protesters.

Another political voice has been added to the ongoing agitation that has been continuing for more than two weeks.

Shiv Sena (UBT) stands in solidarity
The Uddhav Thackeray-led party, in a statement, said it stood in solidarity with Wangchuk and other protestors at Jantar Mantar. 

The party supported the movement’s demand for accountability and appealed to the Centre to communicate with the protesters through peaceful means.

CJP leads protest, continues
The demonstration is being organised by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) under its founder, Abhijeet Dipke. 

Sonam Wangchuk has been on an indefinite hunger strike as part of the agitation. Jantar Mantar protesters are raising issues of governance, accountability, and other policies.

Broadening Political Support
In the last few days, several political leaders, activists, and public figures have come out in support of the protest. 

Shiv Sena (UBT) support is also seen to be giving huge political backing to the ongoing movement in the national capital.

I would like to talk
Shiv Sena (UBT) has appealed to the government to sit with the protesters and resolve the issue peacefully. 

The organisers have reiterated their demands and said the protest will continue until their concerns are addressed.
