PM Modi Thanks Young Citizens, Invites Fresh Ideas on Exam Reforms

The PM, in a new video message a day after his first address, acknowledged the feedback and called on the youth to continue sharing practical ideas.

PM replies to students’ feedback  
On discussing exam integrity and transparency, Modi said, "I am overwhelmed with the number of messages, comments and suggestions I received.

“The energy and seriousness with which young people responded shows how much you care about the future of our education system,” he said. “You are not just giving opinions; you are giving solutions.”

The PM’s office said thousands of students had submitted ideas, from better security during exams to digital monitoring and mental health support.

Need for better examination system
Modi said efforts are on to make recruitment and competitive exams more transparent, secure and fair and reiterated the commitment of the government. 

He mentioned proposals that are still in the works, including tighter protocols for paper printing and transport, the use of technology to track leaks and faster legal action against those involved in malpractice.

“Examinations should test talent, not instill fear,” he said. We need a system where every student is assured that their hard work will be fairly rewarded.

Youth participation in the spotlight 
“The biggest stakeholders in education reforms are the students,” the prime minister emphasised. Their first-hand experiences can help policymakers see gaps that aren’t seen from the outside, he said.

Modi appealed to students, teachers and parents to continue sending suggestions through government platforms and social media. This is a people’s movement for better exams,” he added.

The debate over reforms goes on  
The statement comes amid nationwide discussions on recent paper leak cases and calls for accountability. Students and education experts say they are waiting to see how quickly the government’s announced reform measures are implemented on the ground.

The focus now is on turning suggestions into action, with major entrance and recruitment exams scheduled over the next few months.
