MEA Rejects Pakistan's 'Baseless' Claims Over Karachi Attack, Urges Islamabad to Act on Terror

Why Islamabad Needs to Look Inward Instead of Pointing Fingers

India is telling Pakistan to stop pointing fingers and actually deal with its own security problems. This comes right after Pakistan tried to blame India for a recent terrorist attack in Karachi. India’s Ministry of External Affairs shut those accusations down immediately, calling them completely baseless. They essentially told Islamabad that making up stories to deflect attention isn't going to fix what's broken inside their own borders.

The blame game looks even weaker when you see who actually admitted to the attack. A militant group called Jamaat-ul-Ahrar—which is a breakaway faction of the Pakistani Taliban—openly came out and said they were behind it. This isn't really a surprise to anyone tracking the region lately. Pakistan has been dealing with a massive surge in home-grown militant violence over the last few years, and their local security forces are clearly struggling to keep a lid on it.

Facing the Reality of Local Militancy

India's main point here is pretty straightforward. They've long argued that Pakistan has allowed these extremist groups to operate far too freely, and now that choice is backfiring. Instead of looking for an outside scapegoat every time something goes wrong, Islamabad needs to take real action against the terror networks running rampant in their own backyard. This latest clash is definitely going to freeze the already icy relationship between the two neighbours even further, but New Delhi is holding firm: things won't get better until Pakistan faces its own reality.
