Kranti Goud Scripts History at Lord’s, Becomes First Woman Bowler on the Honours Board

It’s a milestone moment for Indian women’s cricket — and for Kranti herself. 

A Spell to Live Long in Memory
Kranti bowled fast and controlled on one of cricket’s biggest stages, tearing through the England batting line-up. Her five-wicket haul put India in the driver’s seat of the match and immediately got her a place on the famous Lord’s Honours Board. 

Such a board is kept for players taking a five-wicket haul in a Test innings at Lord's – a dream for any cricketer.

First Woman, Youngest Indian Fast Bowler
With this feat, Kranti became the first woman in history to have her name on the Lord’s Test bowling honours board.  

And she broke another record. At 22, she became the youngest Indian woman fast bowler to take a five-wicket haul in Test cricket, breaking a record held by the legendary Jhulan Goswami.
