Kerala MDMA Bust: Seven Arrested After Drugs Found Hidden in Woman's Private Parts

A routine traffic stop in Kerala took an unexpected turn and resulted in a major drug bust with seven people arrested. One of the women in the car, in a bizarre attempt to cover up the evidence, had concealed a large quantity of MDMA in her private parts.

Suspicious Behaviour Leads to More Thorough Search

It began late on Friday night in Thrissur district. The local police from the Peechi station were doing their routine checking of vehicles and stopped a car. The people inside were acting really nervous, and the officers immediately became suspicious of their behaviour.

The Secret Smuggling

The police searched the car and the passengers thoroughly and found MDMA on them. But as the investigation continued, it became clear to them how the group had gone to great lengths to get the illegal goods through routine checkpoints, and they discovered part of the drugs were concealed inside the woman's body.

One of a much larger network

All seven were taken into custody on the spot. Investigators believe this crew is part of a much larger drug network supplying the region. Police are currently doing lab tests on the seized MDMA and are trying to track down where it came from and who was meant to buy it. It’s part of a massive ongoing crackdown across Kerala as law enforcement tries to get a handle on the state’s growing drug problem.
