Investigation Takes New Turn, Ex-DMK Minister Named
NEW DELHI: The Tamil Nadu Police arrested 3 people over an alleged horse-trading bid aimed at destabilising the Vijay-led government. The action followed allegations by Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) MLA N Ilaiyaraja, who claimed he was offered Rs 35 crore to influence his vote on a proposed assembly resolution against the House Speaker.

The investigation has also brought former DMK minister V. Senthil Balaji under scrutiny. Officials say they are examining his alleged role in the case as part of the ongoing probe. However, the investigation is still underway, and authorities are gathering more evidence before reaching any conclusions.

Authorities Launch Investigation

The investigation began after Ilaiyaraja filed a complaint, alleging that irregularities had taken place. Acting on the complaint, authorities registered a case and launched a detailed probe to identify those responsible and uncover the full facts.
CBI Examines Role of All Those Involved
According to investigators, the accused, with the help of others, allegedly offered nearly Rs 35 crore in an attempt to influence the case. Officials are now examining the money trail and the role of everyone involved in the alleged conspiracy.
