Gurugram: Software Engineer Allegedly Kills Girlfriend, Later Found Dead, Police Say

The incident came to light after the woman’s family raised an alarm when they could not contact her.

Police said Ishara Ayubi’s family got worried when she did not answer calls. 

They called the police, who visited her rented flat in Gurugram. Police say the woman was found inside with stab wounds. She was declared dead at the scene of the shooting.

Boyfriend, 43, identified as main suspect. Police said the woman’s software engineer boyfriend was identified as the main suspect during the investigation. 

Later, officials said he was discovered dead. Police say they are treating the death as part of the same case. 

Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances.

Motive Sought, Investigation Underway
Police are investigating the relationship between the couple and what led to the incident. 

Investigators are collecting evidence, interviewing people they knew, and scouring digital records to try to determine what happened.
