Government Took Strict Action Against NEET Paper Leak Accused: PM Modi

NDA Parliamentary Meet: Oath of Zero Tolerance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the National Democratic Alliance Parliamentary Party meeting here, strongly condemned the recent leak of the NEET question paper and termed the breach a grave sin that directly endangered the future of the country’s youth. In a special assembly, the Prime Minister, addressing alliance legislators, said his government had acted swiftly to take investigative measures to break up the illegal network behind the malpractice after receiving reports of irregularities.

Action, Arrests and Students First

Kiren Rijiju, Union Cabinet Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, told the media after the meeting that many people involved in the paper leak racket have already been arrested and are in jail. The priority of the administration was to conduct a timely re-examination of NEET and complete the test and declare results without any undue delays to save the academic calendar and the professional ambitions of the aspirants. Prime Minister Modi also appealed for exemplary legal deterrence and urged India’s top legal minds to support efforts in securing the strictest possible punishments for the offenders so that such a breach never repeats.

Need for Centre-State Cooperation

The Prime Minister said that the preservation of the integrity of public examinations is a matter of national interest of the highest order that should transcend the political divide and immediate punitive action. He asked state governments to work closely with the Centre to ensure uniform vigilance and firm action against malpractices in examinations, wherever they occur. In the face of continued political turmoil and student protests throughout the capital, the leadership reaffirmed its unwavering dedication to safeguarding student rights and maintaining complete transparency within academic institutions.
