In a dark turn of events, police in northwest Delhi's Jahangirpuri arrested a 30-year-old man and his three sisters. Instead of a typical family business, authorities claim the four siblings were operating an organised drug syndicate out of their neighbourhood, using multiple properties to orchestrate a major narcotics distribution network.

The Stash Behind Closed Doors

The magnitude of the operation came to light after police acted on a tip-off and raided several homes associated with the family. But what they found was a lot more than a couple of illegal drugs. From the properties, investigators recovered a treasure trove of wealth, including some 1,300 psychotropic pills that required prescriptions, ₹22 lakh in cash and jewellery worth more than ₹40 lakh.

From Illicit Transactions to a Real Estate Empire

But the most shocking find was a stack of property deeds. The police seized documents of 11 different residential flats spread across the area, with an approximate value of nearly ₹1.5 crore. Investigators believe that the entire real estate portfolio was bought and paid for with dirty money, money that was syphoned directly from the drug trade.

The four siblings are now in police custody and have been booked under serious charges of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Now the spotlight has shifted to the bigger picture, with detectives scouring the family’s financial papers and mobile phones. Delhi Police are trying to figure out exactly where the bulk tablets were coming from and who else was helping the siblings run their neighbourhood empire.
