Elvish Yadav Claims He Was Threatened With ED Raid After Backing Student Protest

The claim was made in a social media video and has ignited fresh debate online. So far, no official response has been given by the ED and the government.

Elvish is serious about accusations
In the video posted on Instagram and X, Elvish said he was told of an ED probe after he spoke out in support of students demanding reforms and accountability in the exam system.

I stood with students because they deserve a fair test. In the clip, he says, “Then I was told ‘ED ka raid kara denge’.” He said people voicing their opinion on the issue were being pressured.

Support for student movement
Last week, Elvish had put out messages supporting the students agitating against repeated paper leaks. “I understand their frustration. Lakhs of students prepare for months and deserve a transparent process,” he said.

Soon his posts were going viral, and he was both praised and condemned. While many students thanked him for speaking out, others questioned why a celebrity was weighing in on the debate.

No confirmation yet
As of Thursday evening, neither the Enforcement Directorate nor any government agency has stated Elvish’s allegations.

Officials have not confirmed any notice, summons, or investigation for him. The claims are his own statement and have not been independently verified.

The internet reacts
The controversy has sparked wide discussion online. #ElvishYadav trended for hours, with users taking sides.

Supporters said it was an example of "pressure tactics" against voices speaking for students. Some demanded proof, saying agencies should not be dragged into political debates without evidence.

The issue of paper leaks remains a topic of discussion among students across the country, with protests and demands for reforms ongoing in a few states.
