Shinde Says 2019 Changed Maharashtra Politics

On the political events of 2019, Shinde stated that the unified Shiv Sena and the BJP fought the elections jointly. Still, Uddhav Thackeray formed the government with the Congress and the NCP rather than the BJP following the results. According to Shinde, Fadnavis is well-versed in the political landscape and knows who he is dealing with.

Shinde made these remarks after Devendra Fadnavis and Uddhav Thackeray were seen travelling on the same flight to Nagpur, which led to political talk. He clarified, however, that the joint flight does not imply a shift in the BJP-Shiv Sena (UBT) partnership.

He also said that people should not make assumptions based on one meeting or one flight. According to Shinde, political relationships are decided by actions, not by travelling together. His comments have once again added to the political debate in Maharashtra, where every public meeting between rival leaders often leads to speculation.
