Delhi University Starts UG Admissions for New Academic Session
The admission process for undergraduate programmes for the new academic session has started in Delhi University. The university is offering 73 courses and over 100 combinations in B.A. in its 67 colleges through the CSAS portal.
The administrative terms “Common Seat Allocation Systems”, “CUET scores” and “73 undergraduate courses” hide an emotional milestone that is unfolding in living rooms across the country. For thousands of teens, the beginning of this admissions process is not just a bureaucratic kickoff—it’s the official opening to their dreams, their independence, and the next big chapter of their lives.
The Peak of a Long, Anxious Wait
These young students have been under a lot of pressure for months. They’ve spent many late nights studying, getting through school exams and sitting gruelling entrance tests.
Now that the portal is open for business, those abstract numbers on their test scores turn into real-world possibilities. When they are filling out these forms, that is the time when all their hard work and stress and sacrifices are a real shot at a future.
High stakes at the family table
On paper the instruction to 'carefully check college preferences and eligibility' sounds simple, but it carries a great deal of weight around a family dinner table. It’s not just a case of ticking boxes on a screen; it’s a very personal puzzle:
Mapping Out Dreams Students sit with parents trying to balance what they love with what is realistic. They are agonising over their choices, wondering if their marks will be enough to get them into their dream campus or a course they are really passionate about.
The Silent Fear of Letting Go. For parents, this is a time of great pride, mixed with a silent anxiety. It means learning a whole new complicated system, worrying about the future and, for many, preparing to watch their child walk out of the house and into the world for the first time.
At the Starting Gate
This process brings together thousands of young people from all walks of life, all wanting the same thing: a chance to learn, grow and discover who they are. With 67 different colleges opening their doors.
But ultimately, this admission season is a reminder that a university is not just defined by seat counts or courses. It’s powered by the collective nervous energy of thousands of students standing at the starting line, taking a deep breath, and hitting “submit” on their futures.
