Bengaluru Man Slips Into Coma After a Tree Branch Falls on Him While Riding Home

A tree branch falls without warning
The mishap happened near Ram Mandir Road in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The man, named Satish, was riding his motorbike home when a large dry branch of a tree suddenly broke off and landed on his head. Due to the hit, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the road. The disturbing incident was captured on a neighbouring CCTV camera and has since gone viral on social media.

Undergoing treatment
Nearby people instantly went to rescue the injured rider and phoned for emergency assistance. Satish was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors said he had sustained a significant brain injury. According to reports, he fell into a coma and is still under medical supervision. Family members and well-wishers have been hoping for his recovery from his condition.

Questions over public safety
The tragedy has once again brought the focus back on the state of elderly trees in Bengaluru. Residents have appealed to the local officials to frequently monitor weak or desiccated trees, particularly before the monsoon season, to avoid such incidents. On social media, many have also asked for quicker action to remove dangerous branches that are a concern to commuters and walkers.
