Aamir Khan's Half-Brother Battling Schizophrenia, Struggling for Food and Shelter, Claims Ex-Wife Eva Grover

Actor Eva Grover has opened up about the difficult life of her former husband Hyder Ali Khan, the half-brother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. In a recent interview, Grover claimed that Hyder has been living with schizophrenia for several years and is now facing severe financial hardship. She alleged that he has no permanent home, struggles to find food, and has been living in extremely difficult conditions.

Eva Discusses Their Marriage

Recollecting her marriage, Eva said what had started as a happy relationship slowly turned into a painful experience. She said Hyder's mental health condition had impacted on their personal lives and she had been subjected to domestic violence during the marriage. She says she tried to be there for him during his sickness but things became too difficult and they drifted apart.

“I had hardships,” Eva said, but despite that, she was sad to see Hyder’s present condition and that she hopes he gets the help and care he needs.

Charges Respecting the Present State of Hyder

“Hyder is currently living without a stable home and often struggles to meet his basic needs, including food,” Eva said. Over the years his condition has deteriorated and he’s been largely left to his own devices, she said.

Her comments have sparked social media conversations, with many worried about mental health support and the need for appropriate medical treatment and family support for people with severe psychiatric conditions.

Interestingly, the claims have been made by Eva Grover and the Khan family including Aamir Khan has not responded to her statements in public.

Compassion For Mental Health Needs

Schizophrenia is a chronic mental health disorder that impacts how a person thinks, feels and acts. Symptoms may include hallucinations, delusions, disorganised thinking, and difficulty functioning in day to day life. The illness can be challenging, but psychiatrists say that many people with schizophrenia can live meaningful and fulfilling lives if they are diagnosed in time, take the right medication, get therapy and have the continuing support of their families and health-care professionals.

Mental health experts also emphasize the need to reduce stigma surrounding psychiatric disorders. “Talking openly about things like schizophrenia can help create understanding and compassion and make people more likely to get help without stigma.”

Eva Grover's revelations have once again highlighted the need for better mental health awareness and stronger support systems for those living with serious psychological illnesses. While the claims remain one-sided at this stage, they have drawn attention to the often-overlooked struggles faced by people battling long-term mental health conditions.
