Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 gets a gorgeous refresh for 2026

Mercedes-Benz has just unveiled its flagship ultra-luxury SUV, the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach GLS 680 facelift, and it comes with a gorgeous mix of sharper looks, top-tier tech and a seriously beefed-up heart under the hood.

What’s happening outside?

Commanding Front End The SUV’s face is dominated by a massive chrome grille with an illuminated border and the classic ‘Maybach’ script. The new LED headlights now feature striking dual star-shaped daytime running lights.

Bespoke Detailing: If you’re really feeling the luxury vibe, you can even go for an illuminated Mercedes hood ornament to light up the night.

Fresh Styling Tweaks: You’ll see power-deployable side steps on the sides and the back, redesigned bumpers packed with chrome accents, dual chrome exhaust tips and wraparound taillights with star-shaped graphics connected by a sleek black trim piece.

Rolling Heavy: It comes with big 22-inch wheels as standard, but buyers can specify even bigger and better-looking 23-inch monoblock rims for the ultimate road-presence look.

V8 Is Back! The GLS 680 is powered by the all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces a mammoth 595 BHP and 850 Nm of torque.

Mild-Hybrid Assist: Paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system that provides a smooth, temporary 23-hp boost exactly when you need it.

The Cloud-Connected Ride: It floats down the road on an advanced air suspension system that reads the road surface ahead and makes adjustments in real-time, together with a retuned steering system to make this huge luxury liner feel surprisingly agile.
