December 2025 – First Submission: Production banner KVN Productions submitted the film for review. The examining committee had earlier said the film was likely to get through with a U/A 16+ rating after certain changes were made.

January 2026 – Court Battles & Postponement: The film was stopped suddenly on the eve of its planned Pongal festive release (January 9). One of the internal committee members had raised an objection that some scenes might hurt the public's sentiments. It led to a quick legal fight that travelled from the Madras High Court to the Supreme Court before the producers decided to withdraw the petition and go to the CBFC's revising committee.

April 2026 – The Piracy Leak Things went further downhill when an unfinished, high-definition cut of the film was leaked to the internet. State police subsequently arrested a freelance film editor in relation to the leak, but not before prosecutors told the High Court that the pirated copy had been viewed 1.2 crore times before access could be blocked.
