The 7th round matches of the Ranji Trophy began on Thursday. Mohammed Siraj took 4 wickets for Hyderabad and pushed Chhattisgarh onto the back foot. In a do-or-die match, Madhya Pradesh were bowled out for just 187 in their home ground against Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Team India's KL Rahul and Prasidh Krishna played for Karnataka against Punjab, who were without Shubman Gill. Mohammed Siraj, who was named Hyderabad captain earlier, picked up four wickets against Chhattisgarh, bowling them out for 283 runs. Meanwhile, Dhruv Jurel scored 96 for Uttar Pradesh, but it was not enough for them to put a strong total against Vidarbha, for whom Harsh Dubey took six wickets. Jammu and Kashmir bowled out Himachal Pradesh for 168 on the very first day. Left-arm pacer Sunil Kumar took 5 wickets. Jammu then scored 20 runs without losing a wicket. On the other hand, Mumbai, who have already reached the knockouts, bowled out Delhi for 221. The team then lost 1 wicket for 13 runs. With the help of Mohammed Siraj's 4 wickets, Hyderabad bowled out Chhattisgarh for 283. Vikalp Tiwari scored 94 and Prateek Yadav scored 106 runs. Hyderabad then scored 56 runs without losing a wicket.
