Karanvir Bohra Responds to Divorce Rumours With Teejay Sidhu, Requests Privacy

Actor responds to speculation
For the past few weeks, rumours have been floating online about trouble in Karanvir and Teejay’s marriage. Social media posts and fan pages fuelled speculation about a possible separation, citing the couple’s fewer joint appearances.

When Karanvir was asked about the ongoing chatter during a recent media interaction, the actor chose not to go into details.

“It’s not right to discuss private things in a public way,” he said. “Some things are private. Would love it if people respected that and didn't speculate."

“I and Teejay are family and work-orientated, and constant online discussion does not change anything for us,” he added.

Karanvir and Teejay tied the knot in 2006 and are proud parents of three daughters. The latest gossip spread like wildfire as they frequently share snippets of their family life on social media.

Still focused on work  
The actor made it clear he’s not letting the online negativity get to him. 

“I've spent so much time in Maine industry; I know how the rumour comes and goes,” Karanvir said. My family and my work are what’s important to me. “I’d rather put my energy there than respond to every headline.”

He spoke about upcoming projects and added that he is now busy shooting and has other professional commitments. 

Former VJ and actor Teejay Sidhu has also not made any public comment on the speculation. The couple also hasn’t posted anything on social media directly addressing the rumours.

Fans' reaction to statement
After Karanvir’s comments, many fans took to social media to support his decision to keep things private.

The couple has been married for almost 20 years, and in interviews, they’ve often talked about how to balance work, parenting and marriage.

Karanvir’s request for now is simple: to be allowed to keep his personal life off the headlines.

“I think we all have things that we don’t talk to the world about,” he said. “This is one of those.
