GTA Online The Kortz Center Heist Launches With New Art Robbery and Missions
Rockstar Games has released GTA Online: The Kortz Centre Heist, letting players raid Los Santos’ prestigious art gallery solo or with a four-player crew.
The Kortz Center Heist has officially arrived in GTA Online today, July 14, 2026, and it’s essentially the high-society "art heist" fantasy many players have been waiting for.
If you're ready to trade your usual explosives for something a bit more refined, here is the breakdown of how to get into the action:
Getting Started: The "Art" of the Setup
You can't just walk into a place like the Kortz Center and expect to walk out with a fortune. This is a "blockbuster" tier heist, meaning it requires a bit of investment to get the wheels turning.
-
The Mansion Requirement: You need to own a mansion in Los Santos. If you don't have one yet, it’s the first step to unlocking the heist.
-
The Art Studio: Once you have a mansion, head to the Prix Luxury Real Estate website in-game and purchase the Art Studio expansion. This room acts as your planning hub.
-
The Cutscene: After installing the studio, head home to meet your new partners: the mysterious Mr Faber and his fixer, Raf De Angelis. They'll introduce you to your "artist-in-residence", a counterfeiter who creates forgeries so you can replace the stolen art and keep the museum staff from realising anything is missing.
How the Heist Works
The gameplay follows the classic GTA Online heist structure—scope out the location, complete your prep missions, and then run the finale.
-
Stealth vs. Action: While you can approach the heist solo or with a crew of up to three, stealth is heavily encouraged. If you’re detected, you’ll have to scramble to eliminate witnesses and scrub the CCTV footage, which makes the heist significantly more chaotic.
-
The Payout: The goal is to steal the Primary Target (a rotating painting) and as many Secondary Targets as you can carry. Because art known to be stolen loses value on the secondary market, being covert is the secret to maximising your actual take.
-
Replayability: You can choose to sell the primary target for a payout or keep it to decorate your mansion—a nice touch for those who want to show off their "acquisitions".
Beyond the Heist
The update isn't just about the art; it’s a massive content drop:
-
New Wheels: Six new vehicles have been added, including the Grotti Veleno GT, which is currently HSW-eligible and likely to be a favourite for those who love speed.
-
Creator Updates: If you’re into the Mission Creator, you’re in for a treat. Rockstar added new mechanics like CCTV hacking, disguise systems, and even sliding/rotating props. There’s even support for zombies in the Creator now if you’re looking to build something truly chaotic.
The Reality Check: Because this is a high-stakes heist, don't rush the prep. Taking the extra time to scope out the Kortz Center reveals different entry points and helps you identify where the security cameras are, which will save you a world of trouble during the finale.
