Police arrest Ayesha, release her 
Ayesha was seen leaving Worli Police Station hours after alleging that she was detained during a peaceful protest. In earlier videos posted on social media, she looked emotional and said she had been detained standing with other protesters.

She did not talk to the media outside the station after her release but was seen talking to a few supporters. Later she posted a short update thanking people for their concern.

NEET protest incident linked 
The actress had joined a group of students and activists protesting against alleged irregularities and lack of accountability in the NEET examination process in Mumbai. Similar protests were seen in other cities with students demanding reforms and transparency.

The protest in Mumbai was peaceful, according to those present. Detentions were made to control the crowd and ensure traffic in the busy area was not disrupted, police officials said.

Ayesha’s appearance at the protest attracted a lot of attention on the internet, and she used her platform to raise the concerns of the students.

Clips of Ayesha leaving the police station went viral on X, Instagram and WhatsApp. In one video, she is seen walking out of the gate with a few people, and some are cheering.

Supporters posted messages of relief to see her freed. “Glad she’s alright. “She was just looking out for students,” one comment read.

The incident has also sparked a debate about how protests are handled in the city. While some users expressed their support for police action, citing law and order, others questioned arresting peaceful demonstrators, including a public figure.

Mumbai Police has not yet issued a detailed statement on the specific circumstances of Ayesha’s detention. 

The actress has also said she will continue to support the students’ cause and urged the authorities to listen to their demands.
