Kolkata, July 16 . Engineering goods exports from India increased marginally during the month of June 2025 despite multiple global challenges and prevailing uncertainties, including tariff war.

The engineering shipments grew 1.3 percent year-on-year in June this year to USD 9.50 billion as against USD 9.37 billion in the corresponding month last year, according to EE. India chairman Pankaj Chadha.

Cumulatively, engineering goods exports stood at $28.90 billion in the April-June period of the current financial year 2025-26, up 3.6 pc as against USD 27.89 billion in the same period last year.

The positive growth shows the strength of the engineering exporting community, which seems to have adapted to the evolving external challenges, he said today.

The ongoing geopolitical tensions across West Asia, the Middle East, and Europe continue to cast a shadow on global trade and have a disruptive impact on supply chains.

“Going forward, it is hoped that these challenges will subside and the world economy will pick up. A favourable India-US bilateral trade agreement would help the engineering exports sector gather pace,”

Chadha added.
