Mumbai, June 30 . The BSE Sensex today fell by 73.00 points to 83,985.90 in early trade due to selling in auto, banking, telecom and tech stocks.
The Nifty too declined by 15.85 pts to 25,621.95.
Sensex registered intra-day highs and lows at 84,099.53 and 83,976.41, respectively.
The Nifty registered a day’s high at 25,669.35 and a low at 25,613.55 pts.
Midcap rose by 191.92 points, and small cap advanced by 214.98 pts.
Sectoral indices lost: Telecom by 0.16 pc, Auto by 0.34 pc, Bankex by 0.02 pc and Teck by 0.48 pc.
Sectoral gainers were BSE Commodities by 0.11 pc, Energy by 0.19 pc, FMCG by 0.12 pc, Health care by 0.15 pc, Industrial by 0.53 pc, IT by 0.05 pc, Utilities by 0.10 pc, Capital Goods by 0.50 pc, Consumer Durables by 0.21 pc, Metals by 0.06 pc, Oil & gas by 0.38 pc, Power by 0.22 and Realty by 0.45.
Sensex losers were M&M by 1.05 pc, Kotak Bank by 2,190.85, ICICI Bank by 0.49 pc to Rs 1,454.60, HDFC Bank by 0.45 pc to Rs 2,005.45 and NT. by 0.44 pc to
Rs 336.45.
Sensex gainers were SBIN by 0.91 pc to Rs 812.75, Trent by 0.86 pc to Rs 6,070.00, Eternal by 0.80 pc to Rs 264.25, LT by 0.52 pc to Rs 3,698.00 and Tech Mahindra by 0.35 pc to Rs 1,687.00.
